In a surprising crossover event that defies conventional forecasts, Ubisoft has unveiled an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

According to the authorized announcement, "A strange encounter pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where rumors of banned rituals and monstrous metamorphoses reverberate through the obscurity." The plot introduces a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a secret sect.
The questline focuses on "bizarre trials and a fearsome adversary" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Places and Changes
The teaser showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview finishes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, presumably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who accomplish the adventure will receive an exclusive katana alongside multiple items concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
