The Comedy Series Brassic Calls it a Day with Influenced by Tarantino Last Episode
The creators Joseph Gilgun and Danny Brocklehurst are wrapping up on their comedy series about a tight-knit bunch of likable chancers running riot in a countryside town in Lancashire. You might expect the finale to be a greatest hits victory lap of alcohol, substances, and playful theft. But, the vibes are distinctly darker as Vinnie (Gilgun) and the crew barricade themselves in a bar with gangster Davey MacDonagh for a climactic 50th episode apparently inspired by the filmmaker Quentin Tarantino.

Yet the second-to-last episode of this at first slow-moving but ultimately compelling phone-hacking drama sees David Tennant’s Nick uncovering information about the News of the World’s conduct that the rest of the media simply can’t ignore.
