The Ideal Pokémon Legends: Z-A Super Form According to the Zodiac Sign
This comeback of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked immense enthusiasm within the fandom. From the gradual unveiling of newcomers before the game's launch, to trainers forming strong opinions on the full roster of new Megas, there's a lot for enthusiasts to look forward to.
Given numerous of the Mega Evolutions boasting distinctive designs that emphasize their traits, one thought came to mind: What's the best way to link this with astrology? The following is based on a blend of intuition, sign stereotypes, and personal experience.
Aries – Mega Camerupt
Honestly, Houndour's evolution was nearly selected for Aries, as they are the Super Form and astrological sign that evoke the most fear. But, a Super Houndoom comes across as always angry, which isn't typical of the Aries vibe, renowned for being fun, cheerful, and impulsive. This makes Aries much more similar to Super Camerupt, which solely spews lava when provoked. Stay on the friendly side of both and benefit from a strong ally; if you cross them, prepare to get burned.
Taurus – Mega Heracross
Similar to a loyal Bull, the steadfast Heracross, both in its standard and Mega form, has assisted many players in Legends: Z-A. Though trustworthy, both the creature and a Taurus are still Fighting types, and – whether it's their trainer or a firm belief – will stand up for their side unwaveringly. What about Mega Heracross that recalls most of my Taurus friends, however, is its unashamed passion for treats. Several previous Pokédex entries note their craving for tasty sap and how it uses its horn to collect it everything, which is pure Bull-sign vibe.
The Twins – Mega Medicham
Look at this absolute queen. It's impossible to tell me this Pokémon is not the soul of every party, providing an endless stream of gossip to those who wants to hear. Just like an enrapturing, gregarious Gemini, it's very simple to imagine Mega Medicham mesmerizing an whole open area with their stories. Medicham’s Pokédex entry also mentions its capacity to predict an opponent's next moves, which sounds quite similar to a people-smart Gemini.
Cancer – Super Manectric
Cancer is commonly considered as the most sensitive member of the astrological wheel, a passionate sign famous for often becoming absorbed in their feelings. According to the Pokédex, Super Evolution fills the Pokémon with a “huge amount of energy, but it's too much for this Pokémon to fully control,” which seems a lot like a typical Cancer crash-out. It is also recognized for its capability to make a storm cloud over its own head – and if there’s a single trait a Cancer is likely to do, it’s rain on their own parade.
Leo – Mega Starmie
Well, did you think I was planning to select the lion Pokémon for the king of the zodiac? Aside from the reality that it would be far too obvious, The Lion is clearly Super Starmie, the diva whose legs just became an internet sensation for being extremely fabulous (or horrifying, depending on your preference). Players couldn’t look away from the purple starfish, and that’s precisely the identical energy a Lion brings to the scene. This Pokémon is also rumored to be broadcasting radio waves from its red core out into space, and it’s just like a Lion to be putting on a show, albeit for extraterrestrials.
Virgo – Mega Victreebel
The always-ready and perpetually-anxious Maiden is ideally represented in Super Victreebel, the Super Form with constant digestive issues. The zodiac symbol known for being charmingly critical is strongly mirrored across this creature's entire lineage, from a perpetually surprised expression like a Maiden when you inform them you don’t have a 401(k), to its inverted visage that’s similar to the symbol a Virgo posts to the group chat when all says they want to “go with the flow” rather than creating a strategy.
Libra – Super Audino
Look at this sweet, empathetic creature, who uses the feelers on its ears to tell how people are emotionally by their pulse. Always empathetic – sometimes to a detriment – and trying to keep the harmony, there are numerous Libras who would probably appreciate Mega Audino’s skills. However, to be frank, it would probably just make them worry more about everyone else.
Scorpio – Super Banette
Banette is a Pokémon with a surprisingly sad backstory: Discarded as a doll, it became sentient through sheer hatred and swore revenge on its former owner. According to the Pokédex, Super Evolution, “increases its spitefulness.” That seems precisely like several conversations I’ve had with my intense Scorpion acquaintances. A Scorpion loves karma and comeuppance, making them the perfect pair with Mega Banette.
The Archer – Mega Hawlucha
Both Super Hawlucha and Archers are constantly staging a show. As a Sagittarius personally, the amount of times I’ve referred to myself some variation of a “silly little entertainer” is innumerable. The showiest and most obnoxious Super Form, its Pokédex entry even mentions how it “poses to show off its power.” I would do the exact same thing if I had a Super Form, making Super Hawlucha the most apt Sagittarius counterpart I can think of.
Capricorn – Super Absol
Did you know that a Mega Absol has the power to predict calamities ahead of time? That gives the exact same vibe as a Goat, who tends to always think they’re correct. The thing is, much like a visionary Super Absol, they frequently are. It’s also the very initial Super Form that trainers encounter in Legends: Z-A – just like a Capricorn to get in on the ground floor of the Mega trend.
The Water Bearer – Super Chandelure
Detached element Water Bearer is possibly the non-fire sign that is most like a flame symbol – its sister sign is the Lion, and there are numerous jokes about the Archer and Aquarius being unpredictable partners in crime. Mega Chandelure’s dual Ghost/Fire category matches seamlessly with this, and the Mega’s overall intimidating aura is also very Water Bearer. If you weren’t already convinced, the Mega’s description says it “draws in negative energy and converts it into power.” If that fails to exactly {encaps
